Similar as in Italian law, works in public domain that are classified as "national monuments" are safeguarded on the basis of the Article 44 of the Cultural Heritage Protection Act which states that no one can use the image and the name of the monument for commercial purposes without consent of the owner of the monument. The owner can set a compensation for use.
