If you share data with Europeana as a cultural heritage institution, data partner or aggregator, use the guidance on this page to learn more about rights statements and how to submit them to Europeana.

Rights statements indicate the extent to which copyright exists in the object and communicate conditions and restrictions on reuse to Europeana users, so it is important that they accurately reflect the copyright status of the provided object and granted permissions. Rights statements providers can choose from use standardised and user-friendly language and are easy to understand.
